What if you got the power to see everything like it was a video game? Sounds cool, right? Well, Jihan Han, The Gamer’s protagonist, doesn’t think so. Well, The Gamer manwha – also hosted on Webtoon – will be adapted as a mobile game, for Korea November 2019! What will Jihan have to say to that? We sat down with the developers – Caret Games – for a brief overview of the game.

The Gamer game – now that’s a tongue twister – is considered as an Action RPG + Puzzle + Arcade. The game will cover the end of Season 1 of the comic. Currently, future plans include more content and story expansion. As you see on the title screen, Shin Sun-Il and Kwon Shi-Yun will join Jihan in the game.

The skills and animation will be brought to life from the manhwa. Fans will be able to recognize the skills, Mana Arrow for example. Brawling, Sword and Magic are the currently available combat styles. The Labyrinth can be visited within the game and combat.

Only Jihan can expand his list of skills for now. Other playable characters will have fixed skills. Whether Jihan will level as slowly in the game just like the manhwa, it’s not set yet. The game is currently considered to be 30% complete, and will launch for Android first. iOS will arrive later on. For international fans, there’s currently no plans to make a global version.

As fans would know, there are certain elements in the manhwa that might be interesting if it comes up. It is still in the development process, but the developers will be considering them!
