Electronic Arts subsidiary Full Circle has announced internal restructuring that will result in layoffs at the studio. The team, currently developing the free-to-play skateboarding title skate., confirmed that while certain roles will be impacted, development on the game will continue with what it describes as a “strong commitment” to its long-term future.
The announcement comes several months after skate. entered Early Access on September 16, 2025, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA App.
Studio Restructuring to Support Long-Term Vision

In a public message addressed to the community, Full Circle explained that the restructuring is part of an effort to better support skate.’s evolution as a live service title. Since launching in Early Access, the studio says tens of millions of players have explored the game’s open-world setting of San Vansterdam, offering feedback and creative input that continue to shape development.
