A PLUS JAPAN and developer BOKURA have officially announced that Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, a free-to-play massively multiplayer online RPG, will be launching worldwide in 2025. The game will be available on multiple platforms including PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as iOS and Android devices.
This global release marks a significant expansion for the title, which was previously only slated for release in China. The game is licensed to BOKURA by Bandai Namco following the closure of the original Blue Protocol.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance invites players into an anime-inspired world named Regnas, featuring what the publishers describe as “stunning visuals, fast-paced combat, and a vast open world.” The game emphasizes exploration and discovery throughout its environment called Magna, where players can mine rare crystals, gather resources, and encounter spontaneous monster events.
The MMORPG offers flexible character progression, allowing players to switch between different combat roles including tank, healer, and damage dealer at any time. Beyond combat, the game features deep character customization options and various outfits. One of the title’s key technical features is full cross-platform play between mobile and PC versions, with synchronized progression that will allow players to seamlessly transition between devices while maintaining their game progress.

The multiplayer aspects of Star Resonance include party-based boss encounters that developers describe as “easy to learn but still demand teamwork.” Outside of combat, players can engage in various social activities including fishing, town fairs, fireworks displays, and guild interactions. With its 2025 release window now confirmed for Western markets, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance joins the growing roster of anime-styled MMORPGs making their way to global audiences.
