Sports Interactive and publisher SEGA have announced their first partnership with FIFA, bringing official World Cup competitions to Football Manager 26. The multi-year deal adds major FIFA tournaments to the game series, including the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women’s World Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. Players will see official kits, broadcast graphics, and tournament branding when these competitions appear in the game.
The partnership launches with Football Manager 26, which releases November 4 across multiple platforms. The timing connects with the upcoming FIFA World Cup 26, which will be held in Canada, Mexico, and the United States with 48 teams competing. Sports Interactive studio director Miles Jacobson called the announcement “an incredibly historic moment for the studio” in a press release.
Football Manager is teaming up with @FIFAcom in a multi-year partnership.
For the first time in series history, #FM26 will feature official licenses for FIFA’s most prestigious competitions, with International Management returning in a free future content update.

“Heading into a World Cup year, revamping International Management and making it a much more feature-rich module for our players was important,” Jacobson said. “To be able to do that with the support of FIFA with an official license, giving us the tournament broadcast graphics and tournament kits in-game, is a real honor and something we’re delighted our fans will be able to experience next year.”
The game will receive a revamped International Management module through a content update next year, arriving before the FIFA World Cup 26 tournament. When the final 48 World Cup teams are confirmed, their official kits will be added to Football Manager 26 along with the broadcast graphics and branding.

Jacobson noted that more is planned beyond the initial release. “This is just the start of our relationship—stay tuned for more to come in 2026 and beyond,” he said.
The game launches November 4 on PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store, as well as Football Manager 26 Console for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Xbox One. Football Manager 26 Mobile releases the same day on iOS and Android via Netflix. Football Manager 26 Touch for Nintendo Switch follows on December 4.
