After years of anticipation, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is finally coming to Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, and Square Enix has released a demo to give players a first taste. This marks a major step in bringing one of gaming’s most beloved RPGs to even more platforms, following its previous releases on PlayStation 5 and PC. Fans can now experience the opening chapter ahead of the full launch and get a glimpse of the adventure that has captivated millions around the world.

Xbox Series X|S users can download the demo immediately via the Microsoft Store, while the Nintendo Switch 2 players can access it using region-specific redeem codes in the Nintendo eShop.

Step into Midgar

The demo allows players to step into the shoes of mercenary Cloud Strife as he joins the underground resistance group Avalanche on a mission to destroy a Mako Reactor powering the dystopian city of Midgar. Players experience the opening chapter’s mix of narrative and action, encountering the shadowy Shinra Electric Power Company and engaging in combat that combines swordplay, magic, and Limit Breaks.

Release and Platform Availability

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will officially launch on Xbox Series and Switch 2 on January 22, 2026. The game is already available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Starting January 22, the PC version will also be accessible through the Microsoft Store.
