Nihon Falcom recently provided an update in its financial report for the fiscal year ending September 2024, confirming its continued efforts to expand multi-platform development. The company is working on several new titles for the Nintendo Switch, with some games being ported versions of popular releases like Kuro no Kiseki II CRIMSON SiN. This marks a significant step in Falcom’s strategy to broaden its reach, with games planned for a variety of platforms, including home consoles, PCs, and smartphones.

Known for its iconic JRPG franchises The Legend of Heroes and Ys, Falcom has made significant progress this year with western releases such as Trails through Daybreak and Ys X Nordics. The company also launched the latest Japanese installment of The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria. Additionally, Falcom is expanding its portfolio with a new project under the Tokyo Xanadu name, continuing to blend fresh IP with beloved series.

So far, Falcom has confirmed the Trails in the Sky remake for the Nintendo Switch, with plans to expand its release to other platforms, likely including PlayStation and PC, in line with the company’s multi-platform strategy. Falcom’s ongoing partnerships with publishers like NIS America have streamlined the localization process, enabling faster and more efficient releases for international fans. This strengthened collaboration allows Falcom to bring its games to global markets more quickly, helping to grow its presence outside of Japan.

Looking ahead, Falcom plans to develop and release multiple titles through September 2026, broadening its reach to even more audiences. This includes not only new entries in The Legend of Heroes and Ys series but also potential remakes of classic games, such as Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand.
