Elden Ring Official Webcomic ‘ELDEN RING Become Lord’ Announced

KADOKAWA has announced the serialization of a new official webcomic series for the popular action RPG, Elden Ring, titled ‘ELDEN RING Become Lord’.

The announcement was made in a press release from the company, stating that the webcomic series will be published as a full-color TATESC COMICS version starting on March 29th, 2024.

TATESC COMICS is a new vertical-scroll comic label by KADOKAWA, the comic label focuses on producing original vertical-scroll comic works, converting existing popular comics into full-color vertical-scroll formats, and distributing them internationally.

The manga will be drawn by Hand Punch, a rising star in KADOKAWA. He is known for Emotions Evolution, which is his debut work in the company, and was the comic that simultaneously won the gold award for Simplified Chinese and the silver award for Translation and Publication Award in Japan at “The 1st TATESC COMICS Global Awards”.

“We are honored to be entrusted with the comic adaptation of such a prestigious work, but at the same time, we feel significant responsibility and pressure. ELDEN RING is not just a game; it is art itself,” Hand Punch commented. “While we have poured passion into the creation process without reservation, we faced numerous challenges along the way. However, just as this game has taught us, we believe that light will always prevail and shine through, no matter how difficult the path.”

Adventurous tale of The Tarnished seeking to become the Elden Lord
The grand adventure of the action RPG ELDEN RING is now available in full-color comic. The story follows one of The Tarnished who, guided by blessings, reached the Lands Between and sets out on a journey to become the next Elden Lord. Along the way, the Tarnished encounters charming characters, explores various dungeons, battles mighty bosses, and more.

A teaser for the vertical scrolling webcomic is now available online, featuring fifteen pages of what’s to come from the series.

Elden Ring, the backdrop for the manga, has received critical acclaim since its release, with the game now exceeding 20 million copies worldwide in cumulative shipments. The story of the game depicts an epic adventure of a Tarnished who must traverse across The Lands Between to repair the Elden Ring by becoming the Elden Lord.

The release date for the DLC expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow of Erdtree was only recently revealed, with it being scheduled for 21 June 2024 for all platforms the game is on, them being PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

The announcement of the webcomic is sure to bring more hype to Elden Ring as fans of the game were already pretty excited about its DLC expansion, and this webcomic will provide fans with more things to be excited about.
