505 Games has put out a new trailer for Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes, the upcoming JRPG by Rabbit & Bear Studios.

The trailer, dubbed All You Need To Know About Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes In 6 Minutes goes over the main features of the title, including introducing many of the one hundred recruitable characters.

As with many JRPGs the game features a huge fantasy continent, in a world full of magic and valuable objects known as Rune Lenses.

The game’s story is told via 2D pixel sprites set against a 3D backgrounds, as Nowa and his friends learn more about the truth of their world.

Aside from the usual JRPG combat the game also has War Mode- a top down strategy component that follows major conflicts in the game’s story.

In this mode you’ll need to place your units appropriately on a grid in a Total War-style fashion, with every new hero you  recruit giving you access to more forces.

That’s not all your companions are good for, though, as each new companion also improves your town with new pastures and facilities like libraries as well as trading outposts.

These also lead you to the available minigames, including JRPG staples like fishing and a trading card game, as well as some more unique ones like racing and a Beyblade-esque top spinning minigame.

Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes is available for pre order now, with the game coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch on April 23rd, 2024.
