Egglia: Legend of the Redcap has achieved success in Japan, and now the developer team is planning to launch it globally. In this coming 3rd of August, most of the countries from Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, U.K and Southeast Asia will be able to play the game in the English version.

The game is designed to be a premium game (you gotta buy the game), currently the game is priced at 1,200 yen in Japan (around 11 USD). For now there is no official information on how much the English version will cost yet.

If you have ever played Legend of Mana (*shrug* ah nostalgia), you will be familiar with the graphics of Egglia: Legend of the Redcap, since it is a product under co-development of both Powerchord Studio and the Brownies’ team (that recruited a few member from the Mana series’ development team).

In the game you will play as Chabo, an elf that randomly falls from the sky and lands on Egglia’s continent. The majority of Egglia is sealed into myriad eggs, and your goal is to uncover and rebuilt the lands.

These are the main features:

• Collecting eggs (that seal the world of Egglia) by assisting your neighbours with their problems as you progress through the story.

• Break the eggs to free the lands sealed within from the world map. Just like in the Legend of Mana, you can add lands to change the layout of the map to find secret areas.

• The game features a dice rolling system. You will need to roll a dice for movement, and when you battle, you will need to roll a dice too to determine the amount of damage you will do.

• As you progress through the game, new residents will move into Chabo’s village. You can decide what to build and develop the town according to your preferences.

Introduction of the development team:

Shinichi Kameoka is the head producer and character designer of Egglia: Legend of the Redcap, some of his previous projects are Legend of Mana, Saga Frontier and Mother 3.

Michio Okamiya is the executive producer of Egglia: Legend of the Redcap, formerly an employee of Square Enix and now part of The Black Mages and Earthbound Papas (both rock bands are under Nobuo Uematsu).

Yoko Shimomura is the soundtrack composer of Egglia: Legend of the Redcap. Here are some of his previous projects – Super Mario RPG and Kingdom Hearts series.

The game is developed by a promising team who is experienced in developing games and recognized for their beautiful art style, detailed character design and immersive storyline. Mark my words guys, with this level of gameplay system, impressive design and good quality in-game music, pretty sure the game will worth every single penny.
