Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that the second downloadable content pack for Digimon Story: Time Stranger will launch in January 2026. Titled “Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 2: Nabiku GAKU-RAN,” with an English title yet to be announced, the expansion was revealed during the second Digimon Times broadcast and later accompanied by a short teaser trailer. The DLC will be available to players who own the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions, while others can purchase it separately or through the game’s Season Pass.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, and this upcoming DLC continues Bandai Namco and Media.Vision’s post-launch support for the turn-based JRPG.

Focus on the BAN-TYO Digimon Group

One of the major highlights of the “Nabiku GAKU-RAN” DLC pack is its focus on the BAN-TYO group of Digimon, a themed lineup inspired by Japanese school ringleader aesthetics. According to information shared during the Digimon Times program, the DLC will primarily introduce five new Mega-level Digimon. The BAN-TYO group is currently known to include BanchoLeomon, BanchoStingmon, BanchoLillymon, BanchoMamemon, and BanchoGolemon.

However, BanchoLeomon is already part of the base game, which has led to some speculation among fans regarding the identity of the fifth new Digimon being added. This uncertainty has fueled discussion within the community, especially among long-time Digimon players familiar with the BAN-TYO concept and its thematic appeal.
New Story Episode Featuring a Familiar Character

Beyond expanding the Digimon roster, the DLC will also include a new story episode that places narrative focus on a specific character. While the initial reveal was vague, the previously released roadmap confirms that the episode will center on Hiroko Sagisaka, who is introduced as a schoolmate of Inori. This narrative addition suggests a more character-driven storyline, potentially offering deeper insight into Hiroko’s background and her role within the game’s broader plot.

Story expansions have been a key point of interest for fans of Digimon Story: Time Stranger, and this episode appears designed to complement the game’s existing themes of youth, identity, and connection between humans and Digimon.
Teaser Trailer and What to Expect Next
A brief teaser trailer for the DLC was released alongside the announcement, offering a quick glimpse of what players can expect. The relevant segment appears during the Digimon Times video from around the nine-minute mark, with the teaser itself running for less than thirty seconds. While no standalone trailer has been uploaded yet, Bandai Namco is expected to share more detailed footage closer to the DLC’s release window.

With its combination of new Mega-level Digimon and a focused story episode, “Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 2: Nabiku GAKU-RAN” is shaping up to be a substantial update. More information, including the official English title and full Digimon lineup, is likely to be revealed as January 2026 approaches.
