Following up with its initial announcement it revealed very little, Square Enix has just released the first images and information for its new game, Final Fantasy Explorers-Force, which will come out in Japan for Android and iOS sometime in 2017.

First off, some context. You play as a soldier, who is part of the “International Peace Alliance,” also known as FORCE. Many soldiers like yourself were also once called Explorers, who devoted themselves to adventuring the world. The world is thrown into calamity where summons have started appearing everywhere.

If you are familiar with the Final Fantasy franchise, these classes will be known to you, as they range from the usual knight, white mage and dragoon.

As part of the job system, you will also be able to transform into popular Final Fantasy protagonists through the use of crystals, although it is unknown as to how you will obtain them.

As mentioned, you will be taking on these summons, although chances are that you will also be able to harness their powers for yourself once you defeat them. For more tails head over to the official website.
