NetEase Games has officially announced the global release date for Destiny: Rising, a free-to-play sci-fi RPG shooter set in the expansive Destiny universe. The game launches on August 28, 2025, for iOS and Android, with pre-registrations now live on the App Store and Google Play.
Destiny: Rising unfolds in an alternate timeline that takes place before the original Destiny game. Designed as a standalone title, it welcomes both veterans and newcomers with a fresh, self-contained story. Players don’t need prior knowledge of the franchise to enjoy the game.
Mobile Looter-Shooter with Familiar Destiny Gameplay
The game brings iconic looter-shooter gameplay to mobile devices. Players can take on missions, join six-player PvE strikes, battle in PvP arenas, and explore open-world zones.
You’ll play as “The Wolf,” a fully customizable Lightbearer equipped with a mystical Relic that grants powerful Super Abilities. Fan-favorite characters like Ikora Rey and Iron Lord Jolder also join the fight as playable heroes, each offering unique combat styles.
To enhance the experience, Destiny: Rising introduces a new Mythic-tier loot system, featuring exclusive weapons and gear. Whether you’re a collector or a min-maxing Guardian, there’s plenty to chase.
Massive Pre-Registration Event Now Live
In celebration of the launch, NetEase has kicked off a massive pre-registration event. Over 5 million players have already signed up, unlocking 10 free draws for all participants at launch. These can be used to pull powerful weapons and gear early on.
