The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has rated a PC version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, signaling that the game may soon arrive on the platform. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launched for PlayStation 5 on June 26. The game is developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The PC rating lists Sony Interactive Entertainment as the publisher. Many expected a PC version since the first Death Stranding came to PC eight months after its PlayStation 4 release. However, it wasn’t clear who would handle publishing duties this time around. The original Death Stranding and its Director’s Cut were published on PC by 505 Games, not Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The ESRB rating suggests a PC release is in the works, though neither Kojima Productions nor Sony Interactive Entertainment have officially announced the port or provided a release date.
This follows a pattern Sony has established with several PlayStation exclusives in recent years. Games like Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and Spider-Man eventually made their way to PC after initial PlayStation releases.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach continues Sam Porter Bridges’ story 11 months after the first game. The sequel introduces new characters, expanded gameplay mechanics, and improved visuals. Players work with Fragile as part of a group called Drawbridge, connecting people across the globe while facing threats from returning antagonist Higgs and mysterious Ghost Mechs.

For players curious about what awaits them in Sam Porter Bridges’ latest adventure, our Death Stranding 2: On the Beach review breaks down the gameplay improvements, stunning visuals, and story changes that make this sequel a refined experience for both newcomers and returning fans.
