According to Korean news outlet MTN, Crimson Desert is set to launch globally on November 2, 2025, and will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Pearl Abyss reportedly will schedule the global release of its highly anticipated open-world action-adventure title, Crimson Desert, for November 2, 2025. Despite earlier speculation about a possible delay into 2026, the news report stated that the developer reaffirmed its fourth-quarter 2025 release window, currently in the final stage of development.
Originally announced in 2019 and once rumored to follow the MMORPG formula of Black Desert, Crimson Desert has since evolved into a standalone single-player open-world adventure, drawing worldwide attention for its ambitious scale and cinematic direction.

Initially planned as an online multiplayer experience, Crimson Desert shifted gears to deliver a more focused single-player journey, set in the war-torn world of Pywel. Players will take on the role of Macduff, a mercenary navigating political strife, mythical elements, and large-scale battles.
Pearl Abyss’ reputation from Black Desert Online helped fuel early hype, and Sony was even rumored to have pursued exclusive distribution rights, which the Korean studio ultimately declined.
