While big physical events like Comiket have had to be cancelled for safety reasons, that doesn’t mean fans can’t still have fun. ComicVket, a virtual event, aims to let fans still attend an event without risking their health.
The event takes place in a virtual Akihabara, and features art works (doujin) by many self-published creators. It runs from now until August 16th.
In fact, the event’s twitter says that it will feature 377 exhibitors and 60 companies.
Naturally, these works are also for sale, and the virtual event will offer ways for you to buy the works and support the creators.
What’s more, the event is free and can be accessed via several platforms. These platforms are VR Chat for PC users, as well as Cluster and Styly for mobile users. The organizers note, however, that Cluster users will not be able to purchase items.
AR support is also available for Styly users, who can have doujin booths appear right in front of them using their smartphones.
Meanwhile, the VR chat instances of the event will be best for socializing, with many different sized instances depending on your preferences.
You can find out more about the platforms on the ComicVKet Twitter account.
