Check out the Evangelion Godzilla Unit-01 model

Eva Global does not pull any punches when it comes to cool Evangelion merchandise. Their latest model is the Evangelion Godzilla Unit 0-1.

Featured in Winter Wonder Festival 2021 online event, the holy matrimony between Eva Unit-01 and Godzilla impressed viewers. Its full name, when translated, is Evangelion vs. Godzilla Type-3 Machine Dragon, Eva Unit-01 Color Ver. In addition, one can only imagine the sheer terror from its ungodly scream, should this creature ever have a voice.

Don’t mistake the purple-green colour scheme of this creature for Barney the Dinosaur. The model is reminiscent of Mechagodzilla, with Eva Unit-01’s purple-green armour covering the kaiju’s exterior. Furthermore, it even has the shoulder-mounted rocket launchers seen on Millenium Mechagodzilla.

Standing at approximately 240 mm tall, this model will definitely turn heads of Godzilla and/or Neon Genesis Evangelion fans. Made my Aoshima Bunka Kyozai, the model kit requires customers to assemble the model themselves.

Currently, the model kit is not for sale. It will come out in Japan in spring later this year. The model kit will have a 12,500 yen (125 USD) price tag excluding tax.
