Blue Protocol, the stylized online action RPG developed by Bandai Namco Online, may never see a global release as the developer has declared insolvency. The latest news we’ve heard of Blue Protocol was back in November 2023. It was a blog post about the closure of the closed beta test. There might be hope yet for the mobile version as Tencent secured the rights to publish it last year.

Blue Protocol was released in Japan back in June 14, 2023. A Western version for the game was confirmed however it was reportedly delayed to 2024. Amazon Games has the publishing rights for the game as well as Throne and Liberty, another title they have been releasing press releases on but there have been no mentions of Blue Protocol in the recent news.
There was an update about the game in a recent livestream by the developers. They talked about the new chapter in the main story, a new region, level cap increase, and new passive abilities for each class available in Blue Protocol.
The suspected reason we won’t get a global release for Blue Protocol is because Bandai Namco Online has been experiencing heavy financial losses in the past fiscal year reported by Automaton.
