Closed beta signups for Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol massively multiplayer online RPG for PC are open! We previously reported on this upcoming RPG last year when it was just announced. The closed beta itself will run for four days sometime late March. Signups will be available until 2 March 11:00 JST.
50,000 users will be accepted to participate in the closed beta test. Requirements are:
- A resident of Japan
- Have a Bandai Namco ID
Those accepted into the beta test will also be able to invite one friend to join in the test. The Blue Protocol website has also relaunched alongside the announcement for the closed beta. There are now videos of the four character classes, character customization, and a whole bunch of new screenshots. You can watch the class videos and character customization below.
A close-range class that is balanced in offense and defense, and fights on the front lines. With defense skills that utilize a strong shield, Aegis Fighters can protect themselves as well as their party.
A close-range class that wields dual hatchets and unleashes fierce, storm-like attacks. By piling up attack on top of attack without break, the Twin Striker’s power will rise even further beyond their limit.
A class that specializes in long-distance attacks and party support. The Blast Archer utilizes various tactics depending on the state of battle, including attacking the enemy’s weak point and ranged attacks.
A class that can learn attacks of various attributes, including fire, ice, and thunder. The Spell Caster’s high power and attribute effects are more effective in party-based battles.
It’s too bad the rest of the world won’t be able to join in to the Blue Protocol closed beta, but we’ll hope for a global version at some point.
