[BlizzCon 2019] We’ve got some details of Diablo IV was uncovered during their panel just for you!

Diablo has been a huge franchise for a isometric ARPG. This time around, there will be a lot of the good old mechanics and features in their new upcoming title, Diablo IV.

During the Diablo IV: Unveil panel, the devs had given us more insights for the game.

First of all,

Story

The storyline here takes place decades after the expansion of Reaper of Souls where Maltheal was haunting the world. In this game, humans are now isolated from the ones who they trust, the angels. The Heavens closed their gates and left them to their own will. Since order has gone haywired, there are a lot of shortages and war is happening at every regions. Hoadrim that was well verse with Tyreal is now just an old mad man.

Gameplay

The development age for Diablo IV is still young and Blizzard will be using a brand new engine to make the game. With the minor details given during the panel. Here’s what we got.

• There will be non linear campaign
• And open world from ground up featuring 5 different shared regions, with night/day cycles
• Hundred of Dungeons to explore and Legendaries to be uncovered.
• 5 Classes including
  • The Barbarian, known for their unparalleled strength and brutal melee combat, utilizes a new and more powerful system in battle, Arsenal, which arms them with the ability to carry and
    rapidly switch between four different weapons at a time by assigning them to individual attacks.
    • Uses Axe, Sword, Polearm
    • 4 weapon slots
    • Can equip 1 handed and 2 handed weapon at the same build
    • Utilizes ancient magic from their ancestors
  • The Sorceress hearkens back to their Diablo II roots and shapes the elements to obliterate their foes by impaling them upon jagged spikes of ice, electrocuting them with bolts of lightning, or raining flaming meteors from the sky.
    • Elemental base Magic
    • Teleport
  • The Druid is a savage shapeshifter whose updated playstyle empowers them to fluidly transform between werewolf, werebear, and human form to unleash the raw power of nature’s fury on the forces of the Burning Hells.
    • Uses Storm magic and Earth Magic
    • can shapeshift into Werewolves and werebear
• Social Hubs will be in major towns for Multiplayer purposes
• World events like the past
• Special mention from the devs that the game is possible to clear in solo
• MOUNTS! Special dismount skills for classes too
• Trifecta Skill tree, and runes return from fan favorite Diablo 2
• Less intense focus on set items

The game will be released on PC, Xbox One and PS4. All these are being developed simultaneously, so we hopefully can expect a very near release day gap between platforms.
