NetEase’s latest team hunting mobile game The Soul of Hunter will be released in China sometime in the fourth quarter of 2017. The developer is also in the midst of working on an English language version, where it will be launched later in Europe and the US.

The Soul of Hunter takes place in a medieval world teeming with evil monsters, where you, as the player, will have to take these creatures out as valiant hunters. Of course, as a hunter, you will not walk alone, so you will be engaging in these hunts with your fellow partners.  Speaking of the monsters, there are dozens available, with more to be introduced at a later date. Rare materials can be obtained by destroying specific limbs of monsters, among which is the prized “Hunting Soul”.

To help the hunt, players will be able to use “True Vision” that lets you spot the weaknesses of the monsters, allowing you to better deal with them. A large arsenal of weapons will be at your disposal, each having their own unique playstyle and abilities, so knowing what to use when the situation calls for it will be key.

Everything about The Soul of Hunter sounds pretty neat so far, but we will have to get our hands on the game before making a proper call.
