The popular horror series A Quiet Place, which recently released its second entry, A Quiet Place part II, will now be getting a video game adaptation.

The game will be published by Saber Interactive (World War Z game) and developed by Illogika (Subaeria, support developer for Cuphead and Assassin’s Creed London Gangs) and Ep1t0me (St Mercy comic book series). According to the official press release about the game will be an adaptation of either A Quiet Place movie but rather “a new single-player, story-driven horror adventure” set in the A Quiet Place universe.

“The amazing success of the A Quiet Place movies makes it clear audiences are hungry for more adventures in this universe, and Illogika is creating their own truly engaging experience that lives up to the name of this beloved property,” Saber Interactive head of publishing Todd Hollenshead said. “We are proud to say that A Quiet Place is the first game we will be releasing by an external studio from the growing Saber publishing label.”

The game is reportedly coming out in 2022.

While we don’t know the details of the gameplay yet, I would personally like to suggest one feature I think could work really well for a game like this.

The PC version of the survival horror game Alien Isolation has a feature that enabled you to use “noise detection”. This meant that you could hook a microphone to your PC which meant that when you made a sound, the Alien and other enemies would be able to hear you and find you more easily.

Considering the premise, such a feature sounds handcrafted for a video game based on ‘A Quiet Place’ and while I obviously have no way of influencing the game’s development, such a feature would be really cool, if only as a fan mod.
