The mysterious found footage previously released on the Pokemon official youtube Channel has apparently been cleaned up and, just as many fans had predicted, ourselves included, Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark have been discovered.

Here’s the new cleaned up footage the Pokemon Youtube channel uploaded today:

Thank you for your reports, Trainers. A few days ago, a researcher uncovered some mysterious footage of the Hisui region. Professor Oak looked through all of your findings and was able to restore the video to reveal Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark! Hisuian Zoroark seems scary…but it also appears to be protective of Hisuian Zorua. 🤔 What else can we uncover about these Pokémon?

The cameraman was right. They are adorable!

It will be interesting to see what type they may have. Zorua and Zoroark are Dark-type pokemon but as with other regional variants, they will likely be changed. As they are based on the Japanese mythical kitsune, psychic or maybe fairy typing seems like a good choice but we shall see.

It’s cool to see Pokemon launch such a unique found footage ad campaign just for one new pokemon variation. It makes you wonder if they’ll continue with similar videos for more new pokemon in the future.
