Diverse Order, a “Newtro” Conquest RPG, commences closed beta test

Diverse Order is a “Newtro” Conquest RPG from South Korean OverBoost Studio. “Newtro” is a portmanteau of “new” and “retro”, which basically intends to play on past nostalgia in the current age. You can check out their latest promotional trailer below:

Their latest closed beta will be running until 23 September 2021, 16:00 KST, limited to 3000 players on Android only. Diverse Order has been in development for a while now, and has undergone alpha tests prior to this, their first having been in September 2020. Their Naver portal is decently active, with many character introductions and developer blogs over the last 3 months. They also have a Twitter, but Naver would be your best bet.

The game has both side-scrolling battle sections and strategic base building / resource gathering-like elements, the typical simulation busy work. As you might expect, characters have both on-field skills, passives, and ultimate attacks. The developer notes talk about how they’re continuing to improve various aspects of the game, including Live2D and UI / UX changes. A Traditional Chinese version is also being worked on, though this closed beta test is only applicable to South Korea.

It looks pretty cool and has both cute girls and guys for whichever way you swing, so if you’re interested, why not keep an eye out for its release date?
