While we lay to rest the news of a Nintendo Switch Pro (for now), the news of the Nintendo Switch OLED model means the internet is free to unleash its opinions on the console. First of all, let’s check the table of specs for all the available models:

The biggest differences at a glance would be:
- 7″ OLED from 6.2″ LCD screen
- The LAN port for the OLED’s dock
- 64GB storage
That’s certainly not a lot to go off on. We can probably assume this model is meant to attract people who haven’t already gotten a Switch. There’s an argument to be made over the LAN port, for those who feel the Wi-Fi connectivity lacking which can be key for those who often play multiplayer games. Otherwise, well.
Of course, these are only a few comments. However, when you compare the OLED model’s $349.99 price to the prices for the next-gen home consoles:
At the price alone, it should be pretty understandable that there would be people who feel disappointed at this announcement. Nonetheless, the announcement trailer does not have an immediate disparity in like to dislike ratio, so it would appear that the OLED model is appealing nonetheless.
