I Am Jesus Christ, an upcoming simulator that lets players play as the titular character, has shown off early tests of the game on UE5.
The game’s 17th Devlog showcased John the Baptist, who wore clothing made of camel’s hair with a leather belt around his waist, according to the narrator. You can watch the minute-long video here:
John the Baptist is amongst the many biblical figures who will make an appearance in this Jesus Christ simulator. On its Steam page, the game boasts the following features:
- Experience Christ’s life first-hand from his birth through to the crucifixion and resurrection
- Explore accurate recreations of significant locations in the Holy Land including Jerusalem and the Galilee
- Perform over 30 amazing miracles including the feeding of the 5,000 and walking on water
- Receive the power of the Holy Spirit, and increase its power through prayer
- Interact with over 60 characters, including Christ’s disciples. Recreate essential events including The Last Supper
While this is not the first time Jesus appeared in the video game, it is very likely the first game that will capture the prophet in Unreal Engine 5. I Am Jesus Christ is developed by SimulaM and published by both SimulaM and PlayWay S.A. The game is expected to launch on Windows via Steam next year.
