Japan-based developer Studio MGCM has just announced that I=MGCM, the renewed version of Magicami, will launch on 23 June 2021 in Japan. As part of the announcement, we are treated to a new opening animation trailer:

I=MGCM is a shorthand for I Am Magicami, and was developed to celebrate the second anniversary of the much celebrated erotic RPG Magicami. The developer has promised to amp things up, and our cast of 12 magical girls will continue their fight in the main campaign with refreshed and updated graphics. The lore of the game will also be further explored to improve characterisation for our girls and the universe they live in.

Shibuya, Tokyo is the stage. Both dreary and delightful in its own way. The girls spend their normal daily lives there.
Then, suddenly, enemies called demons appeared, along with something that resembles a black cat. The black cat grants the girls mysterious new powers. The power to call forth new potential – the power to determine their own circumstances – and borrowing the power of potential, the girls join the battle.

The battle to determine both the world’s future and their own.
