Scarlet Nexus reveals new characters and gameplay systems

SAS System ｰPowerｰ

The Struggle Arms System, or “SAS,” is a system in Scarlet Nexus that allows players to temporarily borrow the power of their allied characters via a connection through their brains. Depending on the connected characters, players will be able to wield unique abilities in Scarlet Nexus.

Pyrokinesis

Grants flames to weapon attacks and psychokinesis attacks. Capable of putting the enemy in a “burned“ status, inflicting damage over time. Yuito performs a slamming attack from the air, creating a blazing stream of fire while Kasane generates a powerful pillar of fire.

Sclerokinesis

As a defensive ability, players can harden their entire body with Sclerokinesis nullifying enemy attacks. It also prevents Yuito and Kasane from cowering when attacked.

Teleportation

While activated, evasive maneuvers will change to teleportation. Instantly shortens the distance between the player and the locked-on enemy.

Clairvoyance

Allows players to locate invisible enemies and be able to see through them even in poor visibility. Also makes it easier to activate perfect dodges, which are triggered by evading enemy attacks with precise timing. In addition, players can also activate a “Read Attack” immediately after a perfect dodge, dealing great damage to the enemy and knocking them down.

Invisibility

Turns the player invisible and undetectable by enemies, allowing for safe exploration and recovery while avoiding combat.

Hypervelocity

Lets players move at high speed. When activated, the surroundings slow down to a crawl as if time is stopped.

Duplication

Enhances psychokinesis attacks by duplicating objects from psychokinesis attacks. In addition, duplicating yourself increases the number of hits of your weapon attacks.

Electrokinesis

Grants an electrical charge to weapon attacks and telekinetic attacks. It boosts attack power and can put enemies in a “Shock” status.” It also increases the attack range and makes it easier to attack enemies in midair.

Special Objects

Besides the cool SAS abilities borrowed from Scarlet Nexus characters, players can also interact with the environment. Players can perform follow-up attacks after using psychokinesis on certain objects. These take a long time to activate and consume a lot of the psychokinesis gauge, but they deal massive damage to enemies and have additional effects such as status ailments. Some of these special objects include bulldozers and water barrels.
