MyHolo TV Opens Worldwide Vtuber Auditions

MyHolo TV is giving anyone a shot at Vtuber stardom with worldwide auditions to join their roster of virtual talent.

Best known for managing local Vtuber Lilliana Vampaia, the MyHolo TV auditions are open to anyone of any gender who’s above 18 years of age. You’ll need to submit a sample of you “singing, rapping or entertaining”, so it looks like you’ll be able to showcase a pretty diverse range of talents to be considered for the entertainment company.

The auditions will run all through June, starting today, June 1st until June 30th. Applicants will be notified on the status within a month of their application.It should be noted that they’ve even made special mention of already-existing independent Vtubers, saying to be notified if they get shortlisted.

While most Vtubers tend to be girls, MyHolo TV has confirmed multiple times that men will be allowed to audition as well. Although the promotional image for the audition contains silhouettes for characters, they clarified on Facebook that they aren’t looking to fill pre-selected characters, and will instead design new characters based on successful applicants.

Vtubers have been on the up and up, with more and more companies jumping on the bandwagon, such as local airline AirAsia as well as Netflix. MyHoloTV has said that one of the benefits of signing on with them would be a rental phone to use their face tracking app, allowing you to act as your character without worrying about hardware limitations.

Vtuber Obligations

Of course, it’s not all fun and games. According to MyHoloTV, here are some of the responsibilities of successful applicants:

• You must be able to deliver content continuously for at least one year.
• You must be able to deliver content at least three times a week (content provided after getting home or on your days off while you’re studying or working is fine).
• You have a proven track record for content distribution in social media, including but not limited to games, songs, and illustrations.
• You must be 18 years old or above.
