Game developer Avid.ly will soon release its smartphone RTS Minions & Mayhem for Android and iOS, but not before a beta launch, which is currently exclusive to those living in the UK.

This real-time tactics title features a colourful fantasy setting, with the aim being having to build an army of biblical proportions to obliterate everything and anything that stands in your way. You will amass your army by dispatching resource collectors to in order to have funds to recruit an assortment of units, ranging from knights to ninjas. Each of these classes belong to their own race, which includes orcs and the undead.

Of course, as with any other RTS game, while it is perfectly legit to zerg rush your enemies with cheap units, having quality units here is just as important, since not all battles play out the same. You will actually need some strategy here.

As mentioned earlier, Minions & Mayhem will be out on beta for a select few, with an international release to follow suit sometime later.
