First announced in March 2019, the first trailer for Story of Seasons Mobile was finally revealed at Tencent Games‘ annual games conference. Developed by NeXT Studios, it is, as its name says, a mobile version of Story of Seasons. It’s unclear if the game will receive a subtitle or a new name at some point, but one supposes the name is to the point. The official website is open which you can check out here. No further information is available at this time.

It’s entirely possible for the game to feature a more cooperative / multiplayer approach, perhaps a form of MMO farming simulator. With the franchise name on it, we should be able to expect the typical mechanics:

• Managing and growing your crops on a farm
• Character interactions and marriage
• Animal husbandry
• Other life simulation activities

If it really would be online multiplayer, marriages with NPCs would be an interesting prospect. Would the NPC then be instanced for yourself and have different behaviour than for others? Granted, speculation would be pretty moot at this juncture, and the game has already been in development for a while. For fans of the series, you’ll just have to keep an eye out to see if it’s a China exclusive release.
