[ Guide ] Genshin Impact Energy Amplifier Initiation Overview

The Energy Amplifier Initiation event is now live in Genshin Impact, so here’s an overview to help you through the seasonal event. Check back when the guide gets updated accordingly with locations.

STARTING THE EVENT

You’ll need to accept the Mr. Melancholy world quest. You’ll then be tasked to explore for the fruit shards (yes really). You’ll have to defeat the enemies in the area, then collect the fruit shards. This does not require Original Resin.

ACT ONE

The enemies will be buffed by Mutation Stones. This will show you were the Mutation Stones are to make the fights easier. One of the fastest ways to destroy these Mutation Stones is with a Claymore user.

VISHAP’S REST

When you clear out Springvale, you’ll be led to continue to a Domain. It’s a very straightforward Domain to traverse. You’ll find a scattering of Hilichurl, Slime, Mitachurl, one Hydro Abyss Mage, Geovishap Hatchlings and an Electro-infused Geovishap.

WHERE SHADOWS WRITHE

You’ll be progressing through rooms to defeat a variety of monsters. Going outside of the plasma field will rain electro bolts down onto you at intervals.

Room one: Hydro Slime, various Hilichurl, Hydro Samachurl

Room two: Hydrogunner Legionnaire, Anemoboxer Vanguard, Pyroslinger Bracer, Fatui Agents

Room three: Various Hilichurl, Hydro Samachurl, Blazing Axe Mitachurl, Pyro Abyss Mage

The field will shrink in the third room.

FROST-WORN SPACE

The first room will have a Pyro pillar that will unlock once you defeat Cyro Samachurls, a collection of Hilichurl and a Frost-shield Mitachurl.

The second room will have Icicles raining down from above, with Cyro Slime to defeat.

The third room will have a Cyro Abyss Mage and two Frost-shield Mitachurl.

The last room will have a Frostarm Lawachurl, which can summon Attendants (other Hilichurl).

ENERGY AMPLIFIER

Whether or not you do the Domains solo or co-op, you can equip the fractured Fruit Cores or Fruit Splinters into the Energy Amplifier, the titular item for this Genshin event. You’re limited by how much Motive Force you have, and each of them have different effects. The loadout will only take effect within the Twisted Realms.

TWISTED REALM

You can select a variety of modifiers to obtain a higher score. The scores are cumulative, though it’ll only take the highest score much like how the Hypostatic Symphony worked. As such, you can use any food buffs as needed.

DOMAIN OF DECEIT

Enemies: 3 Geovishap Hatchling, 3 Geovishap (Cyro, Hydro, Electro infused)

DOMAIN OF FURIOUS THUNDER

The list of enemies is provided before you head in. Some form of crowd control is definitely recommended for the earlier waves. The field also shrinks with every wave, so if you have a ranged DPS, now’s a good time to pull them out.

DOMAIN OF CHAOS

You will fight two Ruin Guards, then one Ruin Hunter, before two Ruin Graders. The Chaos Cluster will appear as an orb that follows you around. Without modifiers, the damage is almost negligible.

DOMAIN OF HERESY

The last domain open will feature one Abyss Herald: Wicked Torrent (Hydro). The attendants are a various collection of Hilichurl and Samachurl, which you can suck up with crowd control effects.

All in all, the Energy Amplifier Initiation is a fairly simple event, so if you’ve got strong enough friends in Genshin, it’ll be a good idea for you guys to team up.
