Legacy, the upcoming season of popular battle royale shooter Apex Legends, will change the look of the Olympus map and have new features.
Olympus is the 3rd map of the game, first introduced during the 7th season of Apex Legends, Ascension. Like King’s Canyon and World’s Edge before it, Olympus will be getting an update, both in terms of its lore and its layout.
Firstly, players may have noticed the plant overgrowth across the map. This is due to a ship named The Icarus that landed on Olympus. The Icarus was carrying with it an unknown parasitic plant that grew and expanded, covering parts of the map. As a result, the plant’s vines will serve as an obstacle to snipers.
The Icarus itself is a new POI on Olympus, located between Bonsai Plaza, Solar Array, and Orbital Cannon. Inside the ship, players can collect keycards from the corpses of dead scientists. These keycards give access to Icarus Bridge, an area that offers players top tier loot. Naturally, expect more close quarter battles in this area. Besides, that the redeploy balloons near Golden Gardens and Orbital Cannon will be removed, so take note.
