Nexon Korea has recently signed a contract with Moai Games studios. Moai Games will be developing a mobile game utilizing the Unreal Engine 4 for their upcoming mobile MMORPG, Project 라파누이. Nexon will have global publishing rights for their first game.
While Moai Games is trying to replicate PC MMORPG experiences onto mobile devices, it will include an open world concept with a large-scale PvP battle among players and factions or Realm vs Realm. The founder of Moai Games has worked on titles such as Lineage II and Echo of Soul which puts Nexon at ease working on Project 라파누이.
The game is currently in developing. There are no news on when it is scheduled to be released. Hopefully the game is able to cater to what global player’s needs.
