Tomorrow, January 26th 2021, marks the launch date of Gran Saga in South Korea. The hype for the MMORPG is real, with over 5 million pre-registrations.
In the past two weeks, developer NPIXEL hyped the game nonstop, uploading a multitude of videos to Gran Saga‘s YouTube channel. Showcasing boss fights, the beautiful maps built with Unreal Engine 4 and even an interview with the voice actors and actresses, there is much anticipation for the game.
In particular, NPIXEL even had a 30,000 won Google gift card giveaway event for the game’s grand opening. The promotional video for this event, which featured in-game character Seriad dancing, even raked up over 500,000 views on YouTube. You can watch it here:
While the game certainly has a lot of anticipation around it, Western players will have to wait. Gran Saga will launch worldwide in 2021.
Gran Saga is an upcoming mobile MMORPG from Korean developer NPIXEL, featuring cross-play between mobile and PC. Gran Saga features an anime-inspired art style, and features 3D hack-n-slash combat using a variety of weapons.
In Gran Saga, you utilize different Grans which act as a catalyst for weapons and playstyle. By switching Grans, players can utilize different moves to change up the combat. There are a plethora of different Gran weapons to collect and utilize.
