Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R players’ multiplayer experiences are about to get much better with the full implementation of the Guilty Gear Rollback update. Aside from the improved netcode, it also adds a host of multiplayer features to improve player experience.

The update adds the hotly discussed rollback netcode, which should see more stable games between players over longer connections. Previously the game had only implemented it as a limited-time beta, during which the game’s Steam activity spiked.

As of today though, you’ll no longer need to use Steam’s Beta options to access the new netcode, as it’s been added to the game officially.

That’s not all that’s being added with the new update though, as various other multiplayer improvements have been made.

These include the addition of up to six players in a lobby, and the ability to spectate games when not playing. Additionally, the almost decade-old game will now also support replays, allowing you to access footage of your matches for study purposes.

You can also set your delay now thanks to the update, as well as see other players pings.

Finally, the update is also improving the game’s training mode, adding features like allowing you to reset the training dummy’s position to better practice your combos. You’ll also be able to swap positions, with both of these being done using the directional buttons.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R is the definitive edition of Guilty Gear XX, and is largely regarded as one of the most prolific titles in the series. It’s also the first of the Guilty Gear games to adopt rollback netcode, with the second being the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive.
