Now that the game is well over a month old, we get to see the numbers by Genshin Impact with regards to how much it raked in. According to a report by Sensor Tower, the game made approximately USD 245mn during the first 30 days of its 28 September 2020 launch on just the Android and iOS platforms.

To put it in better context, the amount came solely from in-game purchases, particularly the money spent to pull on the Wishes banners for new characters and weapons. To reiterate, this is only for the mobile version of Genshin Impact, and therefore does not include figures from the PC and PlayStation 4 versions.

Sensor Tower also listed the top three spenders in terms of countries, although the results are not that much of a surprise. Coming in first place is China, which made up USD 82mn, followed by Japan with around USD 59mn. The United States takes third place with approximately USD 45mn. It is worth nothing that in terms of platforms, iOS users edged out slightly with USD 144mn in spending, while Android users made up the remaining USD 101mn.

What we see here is just the second most recent update on the revenue generation potential of Genshin Impact, as earlier in October 2020, we got a report stating that earnings had surpassed the USD 100mn mark then. Its first week earnings were also impressive at USD 60mn.  Genshin Impact is currently for the Android and iOS platforms, as well as the PC and PlayStation 4. A Nintendo Switch version is in development at the moment.
