After much deliberation, SINoALICE, the new smartphone RPG from video game auteur and creative director Yoko Taro, will finally launch on 6 June 2017 in Japan.

There is a very specific reason why Square Enix picked this date in case you are wondering, as it so happens to be both Yoko Taro’s birthday and a very unlucky day in the Japanese calendar for a very particular reason which you can look up by searching for the term “butsumetsu”.
