Bandai Namco has announced the Nintendo Switch Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun has sold over 1 million copies worldwide! To commemorate the milestone, various campaigns will be held, along with a new mode slated for release in summer 2020 as a free update.
The “Over 1 Million Sold Celebration! I LOVE GAMES” Pack can be obtained for free from 9 July 2020, with the full tracklist as follows:
More DLC will also go on sale, including the “Vocaloid™ song pack,” “Studio Ghibli pack,” “Touhou Project Arrangements Pack” and many more. In addition, there are Twitter icons and headers you can get to drum up the fun (hah). Get them here.
The esports Tournament mode will be added sometime summer 2020 so that you can enjoy competitive taiko in your own home. Lose, and be eliminated! It uses the same “true beat” scoring system as the official tournament. Even if you drop out, you can still watch others via Spectator Mode.
Follow the beat and celebrate the over 1 million drummers in Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun!
