Bandai Namco just ran its first Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare community livestream which detailed a number of interesting information for users.

Starting off, prizes were given away to their respective winners. The first place winner got a High Grade Sazabi, while three Gundam 00 Qan [T] Full Sabers were given out. Third place walked away with a Full Armor Unicorn Gundam.  The actual update details as follows for the game itself, courtesy of reddit user Dandy Kasshu:

1) Custom Coloring

• Can switch between preset paint or custom paint, preset being the normal paint that we’re used too.

• Tapping on each color slot will show an indicator of what part on the gunpla is going to be colored.

• Can color with patterns (Rust, christmas patterns, etc)

• Hue, Saturation, Brightness, Luster, Metallic sliders

• Can modify to show transformation states and freely change glow color

2) Updated photo studio and AR Photobooth

• Photo studio UI has been updated

• Can take AR photos with your gunpla

• New sticker feature [Emblems, Emojis, Effects, and more]

• 5 stickers per photo

3) Builders Training

• 5 challenges to build a gunpla, build it as strong as you can to meet the challenges

• Get bonus for meeting challenges to boost your point total

• boost training, limited amount to double points earned

• Mark/Convert – inserting gunpla parts to get gunpla marks

• 8 slots for parts, putting 4 Unicorn and 4 Exia gives you a chance at 4 Unicorn Marks or 4 Exia Marks. Inserting 8 Unicorn parts guarantee you a Unicorn Mark. Doing this will not consume the part.

• Marks go from 1☆ to 5☆

• can sell marks you don’t need to gain build points

• new button when long tapping parts, (Set Mark)

• Can upgrade the part with marks, used to balance lower grade parts

• depending on the marks, it will upgrade the parameters of the part, making 1-3☆ parts more stronger.

• 1☆ 4 mark slots, 2☆ 3 mark slots, 3☆ 2 mark slots, 4☆ 1 mark slot

• you can get build points daily, depending on how well you do for the challenges, giving you a chance at getting marks daily.

4) Other Quality of Life Improvement

• Any missions you fail out of or quit, your EN cost will not be used, so no more closing the game to save EN. (Arena runs do not fall under this)

• Load out saving, quick loadout switching making switching for arena, missions, builder training much easier

• In Loadout, You start out with 10 slots you can purchase additional slots with HC or expansion tickets

5) Stream Challenge vs perfect grade

• Chat choosing from Unicorn, Gouf Custom, and Zaku II (Unicorn won)

• Prizes: 2 EN Recovery Large

6) SD GUNDAM KNIGHT GUNDAM

The staff also answered some of questions from the livestream chat, first of which relates to the story missions. There will be more of course, with new chapters being introduced for the story mode in version 1.3, with the focus being on Rindo and Seto. There will be the inclusion of a build design save function with additional slots too, while SD Gundams will be added down the line. The entire stream can be watched right here:
