New Gunbound SEA closed beta test goes live

New Gunbound, the sequel to GunboundM, has just had its closed beta test go live! Fans need to wait no longer to satisfy their nostalgia. Between 15 January 2020 and 22 January 2020, players will be able to try out the game to their hearts’ content and give feedback to developers after it’s over.

For the uninitiated, New Gunbound is an artillery game where players ride vehicles called “Mobiles” to attack. Position yourself well and use your skills against the enemy! For those unfamiliar with the series, Gunbound is similar to Worms where you control your units on a map and aim to defeat enemy units with your Mobiles. The original game launched in South Korea May 2002, and August 2003 worldwide.

In September 2019, Softnyx (developer for Gunbound) and Electronic Extreme (EXE) of Thailand announced their collaboration on publishing a new title, New Gunbound, for mobile. At a press conference, they specifically highlighted that Thailand and 10 other Southeast Asia countries will be getting the release of New Gunbound. With the announcement, Softnyx targets to bring back the nostalgic fun and environment with the inclusive of new mobile features and systems. The developers are determined to cater their game towards their fans and possible newcomers in all mobile platforms. The collaboration of Softnyx and Extreme Entertainment is not limited to publishing. These 2 companies will both work together and exchange ideas and inspiration to further improve their gameplay.
