The latest Hearthstone expansion Descent of Dragons has set the stage for Galakrond’s Awakening! This will be the final battle between Azeroth’s mightiest heroes and wickedest villains! On 22 January, the highly anticipated solo adventure in Galakrond’s Awakening will close out the Year of the Dragon.
The story will take place across two campaigns: one where you fight as the League of E.V.I.L. and carry out Archvillain Rafaam’s nefarious plot to resurrect Galakrond; another has you lead the League of Explorers to foil the bad guys’ plans to save the world.
Galakrond’s Awakening is the culmination of the year-long narrative for Hearthstone’s Year of the Dragon. It also marks the return of the game’s original Solo Adventure format, where players tackle these unique boss encounters with pre-built decks to earn 35 new collectible cards. Add them to your Standard and Wild decks for fun new options! Complete both sides of the Story mode to unlock Heroic mode. Tackle harder versions of the encounters with your own decks.

There will be four installments to Galakrond’s Awakening, rolling out weekly from 22 January. Each installment has two chapters, one each for the League of E.V.I.L. and League of Explorers. This means there are a total of eight chapters in this adventure! Get each installment at $6.99 or 700 in-game gold, or a complete bundle at $19.99 USD.
The first installment will be Battle of the Frozen Coast on 22 January. All players can play the League of E.V.I.L.’s chapter completely free, and earn four new cards from it! For a limited time, pre-purchasing the bundle will reward players with a Golden Classic Pack on top of the full Adventure.
