New anti-cheat detection system in PUBG Mobile to identify and ban in-game cheaters

The PUBG Mobile security team has always enforced zero-tolerance towards in-game cheating since the game’s launch in 2018. This is to ensure a fair and healthy game environment. PUBG Mobile is giving more insight into its existing cheating detection efforts. Further initiatives are also in development, including an  upgraded anti-cheat system with advanced real-time detection technology.

The first line of defense is a detection software to scan for suspect software and modified game data. A massive and ever-expanding library is used to cross-reference to keep up with ever evolving hacking and cheating methods. Game observation techniques are also employed to identify players using unfair means to gain advantages. This is especially used to monitor reported players to ensure only the cheaters are banned fairly. The team is capable of differentiating the use of unfair software, skill and any occurrences due to lag or packet loss.
