The Last of Us Part II has been apparently delayed and will not make its February release date. Kotaku’s sources say publisher Sony has delayed the game to “spring”. Its previously revealed release date was 21 February, 2020. The news is not currently official nor has Sony commented. An announcement should be coming in the week about its status.
The Last of Us Part II is the sequel to the much critically acclaimed 2013’s The Last of Us on PS3. Part II continues Ellie’s story, a young woman who’ survived a biological disaster. She’d spent much of the first game trekking across the United States with a grizzed smuggler named Joel. Praise has been heaped on its gameplay and powerful story, showcasing how the leads bonded and faced challenges in their fight to stay alive.

There’s still plenty to look forward to in the first half of 2020; Final Fantasy VII Remake and Cyberpunk 2077 notwithstanding. The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima are expected to be the last major PS4 exclusives, before the PS5 launches “holiday 2020”.
