A smartphone game spun off the Z/X -Zillions of enemy X- TCG is here, known as Z/X Code OverBoost! It seems you’re a teacher, and it’s your job to raise these units to be powerful battlers!

If you’ve played games like Princess Connect, you’ll find the mechanics quite similar. Here, you have your home page. Some characters have Live 2D models, and will be idling away. You can tap the heart icon to hear voice lines. There are also seasonal voice lines, like one for autumn!

You will need to form teams for battles. Units will have markers under them indicating their position in a formation. “Memories” are equippable items. Both units and Memories can be limit broken up to 4 times for better stats, the usual. Teams also can have Leaders set, which are separate and are not actual units on the field.

Battles will have additional clear missions for more rewards. Other than team battles, you can send out units for expeditions for materials. The game also has a “My Room” area of sorts, and you can watch your units wander around, and bond with them too.

There’s nothing particularly new mechanics wise, but if you are familiar with the card game, you’ll see the units transported here, like Rigel.
