The next game in the city-building, strategy franchise, Anno 1800, will be free to play for a limited time! In honor of Gamescom 2019, players can try out the game until 26 August on Windows PC. Experience the day/night cycle free update, arriving 10 September for all players. Botanica, the game’s second DLC, will also release 10 September.

Players can try out Anno 1800 free on Uplay. The first three tiers of sandbox mode and multiplayer mode will be open to all. See for the first time the day/night cycle and admire your city at night!

The Botanica DLC will allow players to increase their city’s attractiveness with a modular Botanical Garden. New items and rewards can be earned as tourists mass to the floral arrangement! Maybe you’d rather build the new Musical Pavilion? Listen to tracks from previous Anno games in your city.

Prove your skills as a ruler in Anno 1800! Create sprawling metropolises, plan efficient logistics networks, settle on a new continent, send out global expeditions and dominate opponents through diplomacy, trade or warfare. Post-launch plans for 1800 include new adventures, challenges and tools for players. There’ll be regular free updates on top of the DLC. The Season Pass includes three DLCs that will release throughout the year, including Sunken Treasures, Botanica and The Passage.

Anno 1800 has gotten player feedback through the Anno Union, giving them the chance to be part of the game’s development. More than 180 blogs have been published, 17,000 comments posted and 5 community contests have been organized over two years. The collaboration means the development team is enabled to change the game, and include requested community features.

Anno 1800 is available digitally on the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store will release on Uplay+, Ubisoft’s subscription service, details available here. The Sunken Treasure DLC is already available at €24.99 in the Anno 1800 Season Pass, or €11.99 individually. The Gold Edition of Anno 1800 is also available for purchase, including the Digital Deluxe Edition and Season Pass.
