On 12 July 2019, Maxis announced that it is the first company in Malaysia to sponsor the All-Malaysian Team Secret PUBG Mobile team. As part of the deal, the two entities will be working together to further promote eSports in Malaysia via Maxis‘ 4G and Fibre network.
Gaming-related content for a year will be developed by Team Secret and Maxis to inspire more Malaysians to partake in the competition of their favourite games. For the time being the PUBG Mobile Team has qualified for the PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 Global Championship that is being held in Berlin, Germany.
