Acer Malaysia has just launched a new range of Acer gaming notebooks. The new products were shown off at Sunway Pyramid’s Orange Concourse today. The new laptops are the Predator Triton 900, Predator Helios 300, Acer Nitro 5 and Nitro 7.

Predator Triton 900

The Predator Triton 900 is the flagship gaming laptop for this generation. It’s a fantastic device that has won the 2019 iF Design and Computex d&i awards. The Triton 900 can flip, extend, or recline its 17.3-inch display to allow for a variety of use cases. For example, it can be used as a normal notebook, or turn into Stand mode and used as a tablet. This unique form factor is thanks to its CNC-machined Ezel Aero Hinge.

Here are some other details of the Predator Triton 900:

• CPU: 9th Generation Intel Core i7
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM
• RAM: 16GB (2×8) DDR4, upgradable to 32GB

Predator Helios 300

Next on the list is the Predator Helios 300, a reliable mid-range with considerable gaming horsepower. Back in a sweet black and blue design, the Helios 300 now sports the latest 9th Generation Intel Core i7 CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. It’s also thinner now (22.9mm vs 26.7mm previously) and has a top-class 15.6-inch 144Hz display.

Other features of the Helios 300:

• Keyboard with Iconic Predator Typeface, sports 4-zone RGB, enlarged spacebar, and see-through keycaps
• 4th Gen AeroBlade 3D Fan Technology for 45% greater and 35% less noise

The new Acer Predator Helios 300 is priced at RM5,399 for the Intel Core i5 variant, while the Intel Core i7 variant will retail for RM6,199.

Nitro 5 & Nitro 7

As for the Acer Nitro 5 and Nitro 7, these two are gaming laptops designed for more casual users in mind. The Nitro 7 strikes a good balance in looks and performance, while the Nitro 5 aims to deliver excellent value for the budget conscious.

The Acer Nitro 7 is priced at RM4,899, while the two variants of the Nitro 5 are priced at RM3,499 (15.6-inch display) and RM4,899 (17.3-inch, 144Hz display) respectively.
