The pre-registration for the global version of Revue Starlight Re LIVE, also known as Shojo Kageki Revue Starlight RE LIVE in Japanese, is now live and will launch on April 30. The global version will support a few languages such as English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese.
The Revue Starlight franchise evolved rather quickly over time since its establishment in 2017, even getting its first ever live concert titled “Starry Sky” in June last year. It has three manga versions – Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight Overture, Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight The Show Must Go On and 4-Koma Starlight. The anime series was released back in the summer of last year.
The franchise focuses on Starlight, a competitive stage loved by everyone around the world that’s meant only for the best singers and dancers. The two main characters, Karen Ajio and Hikari Kagura, made a promise with each other when they’re young that they’ll stand atop the popular stage together someday. The girls were separated as time passed but were soon reunited as rivals alongside many other Stage Girls in a behind-the-scene Revue Starlight audition.
As for the game, it is a musical command RPG that requires players to kill enemies on stage while also focusing on singing and stage play. Utilize each of the Stage Girls’ special abilities and remember to upgrade them whenever you have the chance. When you are not feeling like it, you can always set the game to auto mode which helps keep your momentum and progression going. Also, Revue Starlight Re LIVE features the original story while retaining the nine main characters of the series with the addition of another 15 brand new characters.
