Transcend Information Inc. has just announced three new USB Type-C portable SSDs. They are the ESD230C, ESD240C, and ESD250C. Besides the portability, these drives are light and they work super fast. Besides Type-C, they can be used with devices equipped with USB Type-A interfaces as well.

Equipped with a USB 3.1 Gen 2 compatible interface with UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol), they provide transfer speeds of up to 520MB/s. 4K resolution videos transfers too much of a problem? Not anymore as these drives will be able to transfer these high-storage videos in an instant.

They are compatible with desktops, laptops, mobile phones and even gaming consoles. Of course, their capacities are huge and never doubt their speedy file-transfer capabilities. Also, each comes with a different colour.

The ESD230C is like the size of a credit card and it is ultra-light. Its black case is scratch-resistant and fingerprint-proof. It also provides superior data protection by supporting hardware-based AES-256 encryption.

The white-coloured ESD240C measures at just 7.5mm in height and it is extremely durable as it is made out of aluminium. It is shock and drop resistant as well. As for the aluminium-made ESD250C, it comes in a stylish-looking gray colour.

The ESD230C and ESD250C come in 240GB, 480GB and 960GB capacities while the ESD240C only comes in 240GB and 480GB. Purchasing either one will grant you a three-year warranty. Others include a USB Type-C cable as well as a USB Type-C to Type-A cable.
