China-based game developer ZLONGAME has finally revealed the official launch date for Langrisser Mobile, now scheduled for a release on 22 January 2019. The game, as hinted in its name, is based on the long-running Langrisser series. While not quite at the level of Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem, the game had a strong following nevertheless.

*Update: It is coming out for selected countries on 22 January and you can view the full countries list here. Other countries will get the game at a later date.

Much like its predecessor, Langrisser Mobile is also a turn-based strategy game. The game retains the original class suppression and terrain effects, in addition to class trees to facilitate a very customisable battle experience where you can tweak your army to your heart’s desires. The game boasts well over 300 classic levels, and a score produced by none other than Noriyuki Iwadare, the original composer for the Langrisser series. All heroes from the franchise will be making their way here as well.
